To enhance access to veterinary care, LaSalle Animal Hospital has partnered with Smart.Vet, a Canadian veterinarian-led service. Smart.Vet connects our clients with Registered Veterinary Technicians (RVTs) via phone when our clinic is closed. These RVTs will assess your pet’s situation and guide you in determining the appropriate level of care, including arranging an appointment with a licensed Ontario veterinarian if necessary. If your pet needs urgent in-person care, the RVT will identify this and assist in facilitating the transfer to receive the necessary physical treatment.
You can reach the Smart.Vet RVTs at 647-695-5411. The call and any assistance from the RVTs are free of charge. If you schedule a consultation with a virtual veterinarian, there will be a consultation fee, along with an additional service charge if medication is prescribed.
